Abstract: The constructed wetland technology integrates the synergistic removal mechanism of pollutants in water by substrates, microorganisms and plants. It is widely used to improve the tail water quality of sewage plants as a green and low consumption ecological restoration technology. Some cases of tail water recycling for urban sewage plants are summarized based on constructed wetland technology through analyzing the operation modes and advantages and disadvantages of different constructed wetland processes. The design of composite constructed wetland process based on different water quality characteristics was proposed as a reference for the sewage recycling.
