Preparation and performance of titanium dioxide encapsulated waterborne aluminum pigments

摘要: 以钛酸丁酯为原料,采用二氧化钛包覆法制备了水性铝颜料,研究了制备条件对包覆效果的影响规律,并借助X线衍射和傅里叶红外光谱对包覆机理进行了探索.扫描电子显微镜、光学显微镜、多角度分光光度和耐腐蚀性能测试表明,包覆介质的水含量及pH对WBAP性能影响很大,包覆介质水含量在12 mL左右,pH为6.5左右时,钛酸丁酯的水解产物可均匀的包覆到铝粉表面,形成致密的包覆层,对铝粉起到保护作用.

Abstract: The titanium dioxide encapsulated waterborne aluminum pigments were prepared by using butyl titanate as precursor.X-ray diffraction(XRD)and Fourier transformation infrared results showed the coating mechanism.The results of scanning electron microscopy,optical microscopy,multi-angle spectrometric test and corrosion resistance test proved that control pH of encapsulated media at about 6.5 in isopropyl alcohol/water medium,the diaspore on aluminum flakes surface can react with TiO2 platelet which came from hydrolysis of butyl titanate,to make the titanium dioxide sol-gel film formed on the aluminum flakes surface.
