Effect of ultrasonic on mouse behavior and its mechanism in rodent repeller

摘要: 为了探究超声波对小鼠行为的影响以及超声波驱鼠器的作用机制,建立评价超声波驱鼠器效果的简便方法,使用市售超声波驱鼠器进行旷场驱离小鼠实验,通过自发活动、高架十字实验和蔗糖水偏好实验统计了小鼠在超声波发生器与超声波驱鼠器胁迫下的行为学变化.结果显示,超声波驱鼠器连续10 d处理,具有驱离小鼠效果.超声波发生器和超声波驱鼠器连续10 d处理都会引起小鼠运动和探索能力下降,诱发其焦虑和抑郁情绪,并且超声波发生器处理引发的上述变化更为显著.本研究可为超声波驱鼠机制提供数据支持,也可为相关驱鼠器的效果评价与研发提供技术参考.

Abstract: In order to explore the effect of ultrasonic on mouse behavior and the mechanism of action of ultrasonic mouse repellent, a simple method for evaluating the effect of ultrasonic mouse repellent was established, which employed a commercially ultrasonic rodent repeller to investigate its effect on repelling mice in an open field.The spontaneous activity,elevated plus maze, and the sucrose water preference experiment were used to count the behavioral changes of mice under the stress of ultrasonic generator and ultrasonic mouse repellent. Results showed that the rodent repellent could drive away the mice during 10 d experiments. Continuous 10 d treatment with the ultrasonic repellent can cause the mice to decline in their ability to move and explore, induce anxiety and depression, and the above-mentioned changes caused by the ultrasonic generator treatment are more significant. This study can provide data support for the mechanism of ultrasonic repellent. It can also provide technical reference for the effect evaluation and research and development of related mouse repellents.
