Abstract: The corrosion inhibition waterborne aluminum pigments were prepared by using NiSO4?7H2O oxidized aluminum to make the surface hydroxylation, and the phenol ether phosphate TXP-10 as the corrosion inhibitor. FTIR and XRD results indicated that nickel ion oxidized aluminum on the aluminum pigment surface formed the boehmite structure aluminum oxyhydroxide, and the boehmite can adsorbe TXP-10 to achieve the corrosion inhibition. The influence on corrosion inhibition by composition and pH value of the preparation medium, the dosage of NiSO4?7H2O and TXP - 10 were studied. The results showed that at neutral condition, 40.00 g aluminum pigment was oxidized by 0.30 g NiSO4?7H2O in the volume ratio of isopropyl alcohol/water = 100/15, and 4.00 g TXP-10 were adsorped, the waterborne aluminum pigments exhibited best corrosion resistance.
