Abstract: The La ion-modified nanometer TiO2-xFx photocatalyst emulsion with visible light photocatalytic activity was synthesized by using complexation-controlled hydrolysis at room temperature with titanium tetrachloride, lanthanum nitrate, thiourea, ammonium fluoride, ammonia as raw materials. The sample phase, particle size, composition, and light absorption properties were characterized by using XRD, UV-Vis, and Nanometer laser particle size analyzers. Under the sunlight, the photocatalytic performance of La-modified TiO2-xFx emulsion through degradating acid red 3R dye was investigated. The results show that when the La doping concerntration is 0.1%, F doping concerntration is 0.3%, the pH value is 6, and reflux time is 15 min, the degradation of acid red 3R dye is more than 95%.
