Abstract: Biothiols, cysteine(Cys)and homocysteine(Hcy)and glutathione(GSH)play key roles in human body. Owing to the advantages of fluorescence probe method, such as high sensitivity, excellent selectivity, fast response time and the ability to detect thiols in vivo, a new fluorescence probe for the selective detection of biothiols based on the nucleophilic addition mechanism was designed and synthesized in this paper. Upon addition of biothiols, the fluorescence intensity increased with the increase of thiol concentration and reached its maximum within 2 min. The results showed that the probe has potential application in bioimaging.
