Determination of Ciprofloxacin Injection by Capillary Electrophoresis

Abstract

Abstract: A new method for effective separation and simultaneous determination of ciprofloxacin and ribavirin in ciprofloxacin injection by capillary electrophoresis was established for compatibility of the use of ciprofloxacin and ribavirin.Sampling for 8 s at 5 kPa and 20 ℃,separation by capillary electrophoretic method at 18 kV using a mixture consisted of 6×10~(-2) mol/L Na2B4O7 as running buffer,detect ciprofloxacin at wavelength 275 nm and detect ribavirin at wavelength 207 nm by using a diode-array detector. The linearity of ciprofloxacin and ribavirin is satisfactory in the range of 5-100 mg/L with a correlation coefficient of 0.999 9.The recoveries were in the range of 97.2%-110%. The relative standard deviation (RSD) was less than 2%. The intra-and inter-precisions (RSD) were less than 3% and 4%, respectively.
