Abstract: Kunming mice were fed with high-level lipid feeds to establish the hyperlipidemia mice models. The mice were treated with earthworm lyophilized powder at dosages of 0.4, 0.2 and 0.1 g/kg once a day and were fed with high-level lipid feeds at the same time for 10 weeks, the mice fed only with high-level lipid feeds were as the control. The total RNA of liver was extracted, and the changes of liver Lecithin cholesterol acyltransferase and Lipoprotein Lipase gene expression were analyzed by RT- PCR. The results indicated that earthworm lyophilized powder up-regulated Lecithin cholesterol acyltransferase and Lipoprotein Lipase mRNA expression markedly, suggesting it was one of the reasons for reducing serum cholesterol in hyperlipidemia mice of earthworm lyophilized powder.
