Analysis of community structure of macrobenthic invertebrates in Baiyangdian Basin

Abstract: The distribution and community structure changes of macrobenthic invertebrates in Baiyangdian Lake, two upstream reservoirs and four upstream rivers were investigated in different seasons in May, August and October in 2019. The dominant species were all pollution-resistant species in Baiyangdian Basin. The biomass mainly showed that the south was higher than the north in Baiyangdian Lake. The biodiversity of macrobenthic invertebrates showed that the central region was higher than the coastal region in Baiyangdian Lake. The changes of biomass and abundance in the two reservoirs were similar, which were higher in spring and autumn than in summer. Fuhe River, Xiaoyihe River and Jumahe River showed the lowest biomass in spring, while Shahe River had the highest biomass in spring. The biodiversity analysis of the four rivers showed that the biodiversity in spring was higher than that in other seasons.
