Abstract: Gaseous pollutants emitted from coal combustion are very harmful to environment and human health. As a green oxidant,H2O2 has thus received much attention in removing pollutants in coal-fired flue gas in recent years.A review of H2O2 oxidation technology to remove SO2,NO and Hg0 in flue gas both at home and abroad is briefly summarized, including H2O2 oxidation coupling technique,Fenton oxidation and Fenton-like oxidation. The important influencing parameters, removal efficiency and mechanism are discussed.Meanwhile, new techniques such as photocatalysis-Fenton,H2O2 gasification and heterogeneous catalytic oxidation in purifying coal-fired fuel gas are introduced. The results provide reference for achieving greater purification efficiency in the field.

Key words: fuel gas purification, H2O2, Fenton, Fenton-like
