Abstract: Basalt fiber is a new inorganic fiber material with good ductility, high tensile strength, low density and outstanding economical advantages in building construction. It provides a new idea for the improvement of the mechanical properties of recycled concrete. For C30 strength grade of concrete, the compressive strength and splitting tensile strength of basalt fiber reinforced recycled aggregate concrete(RAC)with fiber dosage of 0.1%,0.2% and 0.3% were tested. Results show that the basalt fiber will reduce the fluidity of recycled concrete, and increase the friction between the cement matrices.Furthermore,it can also enhance the compressive strength and tensile strength of the recycled concrete. In particular, when the dosage of basalt fiber was 0.3% and the replacement ratio of coarse aggregate was 40%,the compressive strength reached the maximum for C30 strength grade of concrete. When the fiber dosage is 0.1%,the growth trend of the tensile strength of recycled concrete is stable. The study can provide- guidance and reference for the application of recycled aggregate in concrete engineering practice.
