Abstract: Fungus-beetles use macrofungi as their nutrient source, and have evolved into rich species diversity. The species known worldwide are as many as 3 suborders, 16 superfamilies, 82 families, and 1 386 genera, over 8 000 species constituting a branch of complex insect diversity. These beetles have established complex interdependence with fungi because of feeding, and some species are closely related to human economic due to endangerment of mushroom agricultural production. Thus, this article mainly makes a preliminary overview of the domestic and international research status based on the literature information, bring attention to our country’s academic community to the survey and classification of the fungus-beetles resources.
