Abstract: To simplify the preparation process of super-hydrophobic coatings and improve its wear resistance, the bisphenol A epoxy resin is modified in two steps with hydroxyl-terminated polydimethylsiloxane(HTPDMS)and Micro/Nano silica.UV curing technology was used to cure the coatings. The surface properties of the coatings were characterized by static contact angle measurement, field emission scanning electron micro-scope(FESEM)and atomic force microscope(AFM).The effect of the amount of HTPDMS and silica on the contact angle and other properties of the cured coating was investigated. The results show that when the amount of HTPDMS added is 80% of the epoxy resin, the best modification effect on the epoxy resin cam be obtained. When the mass ratio of the modified epoxy resin to the Micro/Nano silica is 10∶1.5∶1.5, and a compound photo initiator and a UV mercury lamp are irradiated for 10 minutes, the super-hydrophobic coating can be obtained, with contact angle(CA)of >154° and rolling angle(RA)of <1°.
