Species diversity and ecological adaptability of AM fungi in Broussonetia papyrifera from Fengfeng mining area in Hebei Province

Abstract: In order to explore species diversity of arbuscular mycorrhizal(AM)fungi from Broussonetia papyrifera in Fengfeng mining area of Hebei Province and their ecological adaptability to polluted environment, soil samples from 0-20 cm and 20-40 cm soil layers around Broussonetia papyrifera roots were collected from Yijing Town, Jiecheng Town and Fengfeng Town in Fengfeng Mining Area in October 2016. The AM fungis germplasm resources, ecological distribution and correlation with soil factors were systematically studied. A total of 8 generas and 43 species of AM fungis were identified, Acaulospora and Glomus were of broad-spectrum ecotypes, G.reticulatum, Entrophospora infrequens, G.multiforum were of broad-spectrum ecotypes. Shannon-Weiner index, evenness and species richness of AM fungi in Yijing Town were the highest, while those in Jiecheng Town were the lowest. The content of heavy metal cadmium and zinc exceeded the standard in Fengfeng mining area. Some spores of AM fungi from Broussonetia papyrifera in some areas of Fengfeng mining area have the characteristics of dark color, dense surface reticulation spacing and other ecological adaptability, which is conducive to the distribution and activity of AM fungi in contaminated soil.
