Abstract: Based on the test of 10 square steel tubes with self-compacting iron tailings concrete eccentric compression short columns, this work analyzed the mechanical properties of the test piece affected by the steel content, iron tailings powder replacement rate, and eccentricity, and compared the test bearing capacity with the calculated bearing capacity of each specification. The results show that, with the increase of steel content, the bearing capacity, ductility coefficient and flexural rigidity of the specimen increase significantly; with the substitution rate of iron tailings powder increases, the bending stiffness of the specimen decreases, and there is no obvious change in the bearing capacity and ductility coefficient; with the eccentricity increases, the bearing capacity and bending stiffness of the specimen decrease while the ductility coefficient increases.
