Abstract: A switching pseudo-predictor is designed for a class of systems with input delays to achieve accurate state prediction while avoiding the inclusion of input integral terms. It provides a basis and rationale for applying controller design methods of non-delayed systems, which can simplify the stability and dynamic performance analysis of closed-loop systems. The original system is divided into two subsystems, the open-loop one and the closed-loop one, bythe moment when the control quantity actually affects the system state, and a pseudo-predictor with switching structure is constructed to predict the system state accordingly.A stabilizing controller designed using the predicted state to design for the input delayed linear system and the asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system is demonstrated.
