Abstract: In order to clarify the structure and characteristics of tyrosinase related protein 1(TYRP-1)in Chinese softshell turtle Pelodiscus sinensis, bioinformatics analysis was carried out using related softwares, databases and methods. The results showed that the transcript length of tyrp-1 gene was 2 829 bp, encoding a putative 535 aa. The deduced molecular weight of TYRP-1 protein was 60.16 ku and theoretical isoelectric point was 5.35, which indicated it was an unstable protein. A signal peptide domain was located in N-terminus, and it could bind to the signal recognition protein, leading the polypeptide chain through the endoplasmic reticulum membrane to the endoplasmic reticulum cavity. A transmembrane domain in the C-terminus, which anchored on the cell membrane, played an important biological function. The TYRP-1 protein contained two copper-binding domains, and interacted with DCT protein.
