Abstract: For utilization the resources of Scabiosa tschiliensis Grunning, the content of total phenol in different extracts of inflorescence from S. tschiliensis Grunning was determined. The results showed that the content of total phenol in ethyl acetate fraction was 130.8 mg/g, much high than other fractions. Ten compounds of quercitrin, quercetin, chlorogenic acid, rutin, caffeic acid, L-epicatechin, icariin, ferulic acid, isorhamnetin and vanillic acid were identified from the extracts by HPLC. The contents of quercitrin, quercetin, chlorogenic acid and rutin were high, up to 15.15, 6.87, 4.73 and 2.67 mg/g, respectively. In vitro antioxidant analysis showed that the ethyl acetate fraction had strong antioxidant capacity.
