Design and implementation of rapid detection device of sulfur smoked herbs

Abstract: A kind of fast detecting device was developed for Chinese medicinal herbs based on visible and near-infrared spectroscopy technology.It is mainly composed of the lithium battery,DC/DC converter circuit,constant current source,light source,sample pool,micro fiber spectrometer,laptop and so on.This paper describes the components and working principle of the instrument,gives the constant current driving circuit principle diagram of the halogen tungsten lamp,and introduces its working principle and the measured technical parameters in details.The paper compared the normal and sulfur smoked sample extracts spectra,and found sulfur leaching solution in 715 nm and 835 nm has the characteristic absorption peak.It can be taken as the criterion of sulfur fumigation sample detection.Normal / smoked sulfur Codonopsis pilosula and wolfberry fruit samples were tested by the prototype.The test results show the sample with sulfur fumigation can be distinguished.It is expected to be used for sulfur smoked in the medicinal field for rapid screening test of sulfur smoked herds.
